Drawing from observation
In this illustrative lesson, I would begin with an ordinary object and ask what its shape actually does on the page before trying to make a polished drawing.

I would show how a few light lines can test proportion and placement. We could erase or redraw them without treating the first mark as a verdict.
Next, we would compare the object with the sketch, looking for one useful adjustment at a time: an angle, a gap, or the weight of a shadow.
I would make room for a second study so the change becomes visible. The goal would be to observe more carefully, not to copy a fixed style.
This is a design example, not a real teacher's class or portfolio. A drawing teacher would replace this outline and sample art with their own work and actual lesson details.
